How to Get Rid of Blister Beetles
The Blister Beetle 🪲
These pesky insects come around mid-summer and quickly defoliate plants, especially when they appear in large numbers. They love to eat the flowers of tomatoes, potatoes, clematis, squash, and more!
Ways to rid your garden of blister beetles:
• Use diatomaceous earth as a barrier
• Apply peppermint oil or neem oil near or on plants
• Create row covers that are sealed on the edges
Like any critter that you see on your plants, take action immediately! Many bugs that feed on your garden don’t have long lifespans, so they eat and reproduce quickly.
