From Turf to Xeric

See ya later, turf! πŸ‘‹πŸ»

For this xeric project in Castle Pines, we got the tiller out (a favorite tool of ours!), amended the soil, added some rocks, and are implementing native plants! Final photos and footage coming soon.

🌾 What’s a native plant?

A native plant is one that has evolved and adapted to a specific ecosystem over time, playing a crucial role in maintaining the balance of nature and supporting local ecosystems.

πŸͺ» Why native plants?

Native plants offer numerous benefits, including:
πŸ¦‹ supporting local wildlife and pollinators
πŸ’¦ conserving water due to their adaptation to the local climate
πŸ¦— reducing the need for pesticides and fertilizers
🌿 enhancing soil health
✨️ preventing erosion
🌾 maintaining the natural balance of ecosystems while contributing to biodiversity and resilience against invasive species
